What is Microneedling?

Microneedling also known as collagen induction therapy (CIT) is a cutting-edge cosmetic procedure that involves using a top of the line device with tiny needles to create micro channels into the epidermis (0.1-0.15mm deep) and dermis (0.5mm deep). When those channels are created by the controlled injury, the platelet derived growth factor (PDGF) promotes the proliferation of fibroblasts-producing collagen and elastin. Making it a sought-after procedure for people who want to improve their skin and look radiant.

Microneedling can treat:

• Wrinkles and fine lines

• Acne scars

• Hair loss

• Hyperpigmentation

• Pore size

• Puffy eyes with dark circles

• Texture, Tone, Color

• Age spots

    and so much more.

When will I see results?

You may see an immediate glow after the first treatment. However, it will take about 4-6 weeks since the body needs time to produce the collagen and elastin. During the wait, you can enhance and speed up the healing process with nano-needling and/or cosmetic acupuncture.

How many treatments do I need?

Treatment should be spaced out 4-6 weeks in a series of 4-8 treatments.

What's the aftercare?

After treatment, you will be red for 8-24 hours. (Aloe Vera can help reduce the redness), do not exercise as sweating can irritate the skin, stay out of the sun the day of treatment. Use mineral sunscreen the week after micro-needling. Do not use facial soap or any products on the same day.

Who should not get Microneedling?

Microneedling is not appropriate for active acne, pregnancy, local infections such as warts, moderate to severe eczema and psoriasis, patients on anticoagulant therapy, extreme keloids tendency, patients undergoing chemo/radiotherapy.
